Ebsomed Project: Selena Italy present at the final seminar.

SELENA ITALY was invited by AFAEMME (Federation of Mediterranean women’s entrepreneurial associations) in Brussels to the final seminar of the EBSOMED project (2018-2022) co-financed by the European Union and aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Mediterranean to stimulate investment and job creation in the region in view of economic growth, with special reference to women’s enterprises.

On the day in Brussels, entirely dedicated to the project, our vice president Cristina Gorajski, SELENA ITALY contact person for international relations, referred to our history and the very long associative relationships with this important Federation of women’s business associations based in Barcelona and alongside ASCAME (Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce).

Our participation in AFAEMME continues to be a great and inclusive European experience because it has allowed us to meet authoritative European colleagues, exchange practices, build important relationships, and also share national and international experiences within our association. Before the pandemic we were always present in meetings in Barcelona and in 2018 we were speakers at the Amman Forum dedicated to “Women in Tech” to discuss the improvement of digitization in small businesses run by women.

President Afaemme Maria Helena de Felipe was recently elected vice president of the Economic and Social Council at the European Commission, in charge of External Relations, a role that during the Spanish semester at the EU presidency will be an opportunity to promote and make better known the work that this Committee carries out in other non-EU countries.

Our best wishes to Maria Helena for a good job!
